The goals of International Appalachian (INTAPP) are to assist with the implementation of the Board of Governor's adoption of Internationalization. We aspire to do this by increasing international understanding and direct involvement with other cultures at Appalachian State University. INTAPP website
Undergraduate Admissions
- All prospective international undergraduate students must first submit an application with the appropriate required test scores and documents to the Office of Admissions at Appalachian State University. You may find application information here.
- Upon a student's successful admission, the Office of Admissions will forward a copy of the admitted student's file to the Office of International Education & Development which will then issue the Form I-20 used for F-1 visa application.
- The I-20 will only be issued after receipt of original certified financial documentation showing the student is able to meet the estimated cost of attending ASU for the first full academic year.
Graduate Admission
- All prospective international graduate students must first submit an application with the appropriate required test scores and documents to the Graduate School. You may find application information here.
- Upon a student's successful admission, the Graduate School Admissions will forward a copy of the admitted student's file to the Office of International Education & Development which will then issue the Form I-20 used for F-1 visa application.
- The I-20 will only be issued after the original certified financial documentation showing the student is able to meet the estimated cost of attending ASU for the first full academic year is recieved.
Transfer Students
- F-1 students who wish to transfer to Appalachian State University must have their current foreign student advisor submit a transfer form to ASU's foreign student advisor, indicating they are "in status" with all U.S. CIS regulations.
