Discover why so many students choose to make study abroad a part of their Appalachian experience. On Wednesday, November 1st from 11AM to 2PM in the Plemmons Student Union - 137 Grandfather Ballroom, the Office of International Education and Development will be holding its annual Education Abroad Fair. Stop by to speak to faculty-led program leaders, partner institutions, and current international exchange students/returned study abroad students. And enjoy some free food while you are there!
Don't speak another language? Don't worry as we have plenty of programs without language requirements, including opportunities to learn a language while taking courses in English. If you do speak another language we have options for you as well.
This year in conjunction with the fair we will have a Scholarship Drawing for two $500 scholarships.
To enter the Scholarship drawing please complete a short Google Form and then show up at the fair on the 1st. The drawing will take place on the 2nd and selected students will be notified by email.
Scholarship Rules and Procedures
- Currently enrolled graduate and undergraduate students are eligible to enter the drawing (one entrant per student).
- The scholarship award will be valid students participating on Appalachian credit-bearing education abroad programs for a period of 3 years or until the students’ graduation from their current degree of study whichever comes sooner. The first term that the student will be eligible to use the scholarship is Spring 2018.
- To redeem the scholarship students will need to bring their signed scholarship award letter to OIED upon official acceptance to their study abroad program.
