Flood Watch

A Flood Watch has been issued by the National Weather Service for Watauga County from 8 am Monday, April 23 until 4 pm Tuesday, April 24. This includes Appalachian State University. A prolonged period of moderate to occasionally heavy rain may result in small streams and creeks flooding. Be alert for rising water in flood prone areas. Have a plan to quickly evacuate should flooding occur. In addition to the flood watch, a wind advisory is also in effect from 12 am Monday, April 23 until 12 am Tuesday, April 24. Wind gusts up to 50 mph possible.

What is Global Exchange?

Global Exchange is a FREE monthly event that takes place every last Wednesday of the month from 4:00-5:00 pm. Located in Whitewater Cafe (near McAlister's in the Plemmons Student Union), Global Exchange brings domestic and international students together to enjoy music, food, and dance from around the world.

Join us at 4:00 pm for international snacks, trivia, music, and conversation. Beginner's dance lessons start at 4:10 pm. No experience necessary! Everyone is welcome!
