Frio Raul Onofre is a language teacher at a public school. Over the last few years, he served as a volunteer for a project launched by Peace Corps volunteers called JUNTOS. The project aimed to inform young girls about health, sexual and reproductive health issues, providing them with a platform to discuss issues including HIV/AIDs, drugs, sexuality, and puberty. In Chimoio, Frio manages Vigilantes in Health and Human Rights, a community-based organization dedicated to educating and helping families understand how to care for persons living with HIV. The organization is also committed to helping members advocate for the rights of persons living with HIV, and work towards building a more inclusive society.
