Ertegun Scholarships in the Humanities

All Ertegun Scholarships cover course fees in full. Scholars also receive a generous annual grant for living costs (the rate for 2023-24 is £18,622), which is normally sufficient to cover the living costs of a single student living in Oxford.
Candidates should be already be applying to start a new graduate course at Oxford. Gates Cambridge Scholarship

Each year Gates Cambridge offers 80 full-cost scholarships to outstanding applicants from countries outside the UK to pursue a postgraduate degree in any subject available at the University of Cambridge. Killam Fellowship

Cash award of $6,000 US per semester ($12,000 for a full academic year), and includes a three day orientation in Ottawa, and a three day spring seminar in Washington. A health benefit plan is included.
The Killam Fellowships Program provides an opportunity for exceptional undergraduate students from universities in the United States to spend either one semester or a full academic year as an exchange student in Canada. Students may participate in the program either as a direct exchange student (registering at their home university, paying their home fees, and attending the host university as an exchange visitor) or as a self-placed visiting student (registering at the host university and paying host tuition fees). Applicants interested in the direct exchange program must be registered at one of the participating American universities and be planning to visit one of the participating Canadian universities.
Rhodes Scholarship

The value of a Rhodes Scholarship consists of a direct payment to the Scholar's college of all tuition fees, plus a maintenance stipend of at least £13,390 per year.

Recipients of the Rhodes Scholarship are expected to complete at least one degree (either a second bachelor's, a master's, or a doctoral degree) at Oxford. Applicants must be a citizen of the US or a lawful permanent resident for at least five years, between 18-24 years of age, and must have achieved academic standing sufficiently advanced to assure the competition of a bachelor's degree by October 1 of the year following the application (before the commencement of their study at Oxford).

Established in 2007 in honor of AIA Honorary President Jane Waldbaum, this scholarship is intended to help students who are planning to participate in archaeological field work for the first time. Students majoring in archaeology or related disciplines are especially encouraged to apply.
