Bio: 

Tracy Jarrell serves as the Faculty-Led Program Coordinator, working with short-term education abroad programs led by faculty members.

Tracy obtained her BA in Criminology from N.C. State University and her MA in Appalachian Studies with a concentration in Sustainable Development from Appalachian State University. She studied abroad in Antigua, Guatemala as an undergraduate. After graduating, she traveled through 15 countries in South and Central America over the course of a year with a backpack and a goal of making it back to North Carolina by land. Prior to working at OIED, Tracy worked as a weaver at the Crossnore Weaving Room.

In her free time, Tracy can be found hiking, gardening, clogging, knitting, sewing, weaving, and discovering new places to visit with her family.
