Bio:
Oana Devera is the Assistant Director of International Student and Scholar Services and Outreach (ISSSO) in the Office of International Education and Development.
She works closely with the ISSSO team to provide immigration and support services to international students on J-1 exchange and F-1 degree seeking visas, and occasionally international scholars and faculty on J-1 visas.
She also coordinates the International Friendship Program (IFP) which connects local community members to our international students, and organizes the annual International Education Week.
Oana was born and raised in Romania, a beautiful Eastern European country, where she graduated from Law School. In the US, she completed a K-12 Spanish Teaching program and an MA in Higher Education, both at App State.
Prior to joining OIED, Oana worked in the Dean’s Office in the Reich College of Education.
