Tracy Jarrell serves as an Education Abroad Advisor, focusing on exchange and affiliate programs and international internship opportunities.

Tracy obtained her BA in Criminology from N.C. State University and her MA in Appalachian Studies with a concentration in Sustainable Development from Appalachian State University. She studied abroad in Antigua, Guatemala as an undergraduate. After graduating, she traveled through 15 countries in South and Central America over the course of a year with a backpack and a goal of making it back to North Carolina by land. Prior to working at OIP, Tracy worked as a weaver at the Crossnore Weaving Room. She most recently served as a faculty-led program coordinator at OIP where she supported short-term programs led by App State faculty.

In her free time, Tracy can be found hiking, gardening, clogging, knitting, sewing, weaving, and discovering new places to visit with her family.
