Bio:

Laura serves as the Associate Director of Faculty-Led Education Abroad Programs (FLEAPs).

She earned her B.A. in Hispanic Studies from the University of Tennessee (Go Vols!) and her M.A. in International Relations from American University. Laura has studied abroad in Spain, Egypt and Israel-Palestine. She began her career in international education working at George Mason University in the study abroad office on faculty-led programs. Following her time at GMU, she moved abroad and spent several years living and working in Belgium for James Madison University as the onsite Program Coordinator for their Business Semester Abroad program. She then moved to Ireland to work for a small company that specialized in working with American universities to develop programs and coordinate logistics in Europe and the UK. Her favorite thing about the job is working with faculty to brainstorm their ideas and creating meaningful international experiences for students.

Laura is a native North Carolinian and spent her childhood summers vacationing just down the road in Blowing Rock. In her free time, she enjoys reading, arts and crafts, watching football, walks and couch cuddles with her pug, Balou, and traveling whenever possible.
