Professional Bio: Ahmed Al-Saedi has been teaching of English at a governmental and private schools for boys for the Last 8 years. His students range from 14 to16 years old. Al-Saedi received a bachelor's degree in English fromUniversity of baghdad / college of Languages / English Dept, in 2013. Ihighly would like to participate in Fulbright TEA program because it is an important step for me to get knowledge and experience in order to share in the development of education in general and English in specific in my community . The activities which I am pursing them and maintain me are reading books, articles, short stories, publications and attending the conferences, courses, programs in different field of life in order to develop myself and get knowledge and experience.


Farjana Anwar

Professional Bio: Farjana Anwar has been teaching English literature and language at aGovernment secondary school for boys and girls for the past 13 years. Herstudents range in age from 05 to 16 years old. On average, there are 55 students in her class. Ms Anwar is an active member of his school's parent-teacher committee where she has played a role in promoting effective parental involvement in student education. She received aMaster's degree in English from Uttara University ,Dhaka in 2005 and another Masters in Education from Royal University, Dhaka in 2008. At Present she is doing her MPhil On Inclusive Education, in RajshahiUniversity, Rajshahi. Ms Anwar's hobbies include travelling, cooking,gardening and listening to music. Her primary objective for participating in the Fulbright TEA Program is to explore new methodologies for engaging students in a more participatory and active classroom setting as well as new techniques of assessment.

 

Venera Perdebaevna Arzimbetova

Professional Bio: Venera Arzimbetova has been teaching English at the Educational andDevelopment Centre "Progress" Specialized School 46 for the past 16years. During her professional career, she has been teaching students of different age and level, from 7 to 16 years old. On average, there are 15-16students in her class.  Venera is one of the teacher leaders at school and she develops curriculum programs, designs lesson plans, does additional course books for students according to the curriculum. She guides young teachers, support them to grow professionally and help them to develop their personal skills, and organizes various seminars, workshops, and demo lessons to share her experience with her colleagues.    


Kseniia Immel

Professional Bio: Ksenia Immel is an accomplished English language teacher, with extensive experience in Teaching English to students at secondary and high school levels. She is a highly motivated and responsible individual, with a genuine passion for teaching and learning and a proven record of delivering effective and well-developed lessons. Ksenia's strength is in her ability to set up creative projects which unite the whole school. Teachers and students respond very well to her ideas,perhaps because of her ability to combine fun and educational purposes.Ksenia runs the Model United Nations Club and participation in theFulbright TEA Program would be a good opportunity to inspire more students. This will allow our students to achieve higher and more sustainable learning outcomes. Ksenia's hobbies include sport, theatre, and reading.


Mercy Kapuya

Professional Bio: Mercy Kapuya has been teaching English Language and Literature at a local government school for girls for the past 18 years. the students range from 14 to 20 years old. there are 50 students on an average in a class.Mercy is active in the parents committee as she is employed by their board.Mercy received a bachelor's degree in English from Africa University in 2000 and a masters at the same university. Mercy's hobbies include outdoor activities for students.

Oguz Nami Uler

Professional Bio: He started teaching English at a state school in 1998 and still works as anEnglish Teacher at Cemal Mümtaz Social Sciences High School. Hisstudents range in age from 14 to 18 years old. He is active in doing Erasmus and E-twinnng projects. He has a bachelor's degree in ELT froSelçuk University, Konya, Turkey and many inservice training certificates.He has also improved himself in the field of Academic English Exams in his country and published a book along with another to be published this summer. He is married and has a daughter. He really loves reading books,socializing, and spending time with his family. He believes this programme will help him develop both his teaching methods and techniques in English,and be aware of the effects of media literacy on his life.

Omolola Beatrice Adeyeye

Professional Bio: Omolola Beatrice Adeyeye is a staff of Government Technical College in Nigeria, where she has been teaching chemistry subject to about 25 students in a class each year, for the past 20 years. Omolola holds bothBachelor of Technology and Masters of Science degrees in IndustrialChemistry, respectively. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate degree(Ph.D) in Nutritional and Food Chemistry in one of the premier Universitiesin Nigeria. Been one of the  directors in the school, she is an active member of the Parents and Teachers Association of the school, a forumshe uses to sensitize both parents and teachers to ensure effective training of students for their excellent performance. She desires to participate in the program to acquire the modern methodologies and skills in the teaching profession from professionals across the globe especially United State of America.      


Rasel Ahmed

Professional Bio: Rasel Ahmed has been teaching Information and communication Technologyat a autonomous secondary school for boys for the past 09 years. His students range in age from 8 to 18years old. On average,there are 55 students in his class. Ahmed is an active member of his school's parent-teacher committee where he has played a role in promoting effective parental involvement in student education .Ahmed has played a role of moderator of Dhaka residential model college IT club. Ahmed  is amember of his college Science  club. Ahmed  received a bachelor's degree in Computer science from National  University of Bangladesh  in 2007 anda master's degree in Computer science and Engineering from UnitedInternational university of Bangladesh. Ahmed's hobbies include swimming ,theatre and playing cricket. His primary objective for participating in theFulbright TEA Program is to explore new methodologies for engaging students in a more participatory and active classroom setting. 


Adeola Olufunke Akinsulure

Professional Bio: Adeola Akinsulure has been teaching Biology at Lagos State public schools for over seven years. Her students range in age from 14 to 16 years old.On average, there are 40 students in her class with a total of over 100 students. Adeola plays an active role in encouraging her students' interest in Science especially Biology.Adeola received bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Lagos StateUniversity and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from the University ofLagos.Adeola's hobbies include singing and meeting people. Her primary objective for participating in Fulbright TEA is to explore new methodologies and strategies for engaging students in more participatory and active classroom setting.


Emmanuel Tembu Forbang

Country: Cameroon

Professional Bio: Forbang Emmanuel is a Chemistry at the Government Bilingual HighSchool Etoug Ebe, which is located in the Yaoundé IV community,Cameroon. The age of his students vary in the range 10 to 19, and on average, he has 60 students per class. Emmanuel is actively involved in the follow-up of his students' academic performance as a member of the parent-teacher association, and is passionate about volunteering; he is involved in the building of leadership skills in youths in his community through a local association known as the World Changers Association. Heholds a Bachelor degree in Chemistry and an undergraduate Teacher'sDiploma, all in Chemistry, from the University of Yaoundé I, and he has been teaching Chemistry for over 10 years, and has keen interest in the production of resources that can facilitate the evaluation of learners.Emmanuel is married to Anita, and he enjoys reading, watching sports, anddoing music. His primary objective for participating in the Fulbright TEA Program is to learn new skills related to instructional technology that will enable him better create exciting learning experiences for his students.


Samuel Kaonga

Country: Zambia

Professional Bio: Samuel Kaonga has been teaching Science (Biology and Chemistry) at aGovernment run secondary school for the past 16 years. His students range from 14-20 years. Samuel has been teaching classes of about 45-55 learners on average. He has been actively involved in the student guidance committee  as a   student welfare staff at  House Master level  for the school for the last 10 years. Samuel has also played an active role  in the school natural resource conservation club as a patron where he has contributed greatly in practical interventions in environmental protection programs.Samuel Kaonga received a bachelors degree in Biology and Chemistry From  the University of zambia in 2017, a junior secondary teachers diploma in 2007  and also holds a primary school teachers certificate. His hobbies include, playing soccer, motor bike racing , gardening and reading.Samuel's main objective of participating in the Fullbright TEA is to explore and  get acquainted with the new methodologies for engaging students in more participatory and active classroom setting for the 21st century.


Amal Al-Khassawneh

Country: Jordan

Professional Bio: Amal Al-khassawneh has been teaching science  and physics at a government secondary school for girls for the past 25 years. The students range in age from 14 to 18 years old. On average, there are 35 students in his class. Amal is an active member of his school's parent-teacher committee where he has played a role in promoting effective parental involvement in student education. Amal received a bachelor's degree in physics from Yarmouk University in 1995 and a master degree of physics in1998 from the same university and a high diploma of InformationCommunication Technology (ICT) in 2009  from the same university .Amal's hobbies include playing chess  and shopping. Her primary objective for participating in the Fulbright TEA Program is to explore new methodologies for engaging students in a more participatory and active classroom setting.


Eman Mukhtar Khogali Mohammed

Country: Sudan

Professional Bio: Eman Mukhtar has been teaching science at STEPS international school for the past ten years. Her students range in age since she started with key stage one up to secondary one. Student range in her class maximum levels ranging between 20-25 students (both gender). Eman is such a creative teacher as she always encourages her students to her subject through projects and presentations. As a school member she used to do her best in adding a value of having annual science fairs. Eman received a bachelor's degree in science from University of Khartoum and  masters degree in faculty of geographical and environmental sciences from the same university. Eman tends to enjoy her leisure time in reading, coloring and writing. Her main objective for participating in the Fulbright TEA Program is to get a long with teachers of different backgrounds and experiences as she believes that sharing knowledge is important to her as to get to learn new techniques to help her students as well as to pass her experience inFulbright TEA Program later to other teachers back in her home country. 


Brian Nathan Mupeti

Professional Bio: Brian Mupeti is a teacher at Petra College. He teaches form 1 to 6students. His main subject area is Chemistry, but he also teaches Combined Science and Physical Science classes. He holds an MScEd(Chemistry) degree and has over 8 years qualified teaching experience.Brian is a happily married man and father of 2. His hobbies include travelling, listening to music and visiting wild life sanctuaries. His main objective for participating is to gain knowledge that will help him improve the teaching profession. 


Hrayr Ohanyan

Country: Armenia

Professional Bio: Hrayr Ohanyan has been teaching Physics both Public and Privatesecondary and high schools for the past 10 years. Hrayr is a member of school community. He got BA, MA and PhD degree in Physics at ArmenianState Pedagogical University after Khachatur Abovyan, Armenia(2004-2013). Hrayr has published eleven scientific articles on teaching and learning physics and co-author of methodical book on teaching physics.During student's years, he was elected as President of Student Council of the department of Physics and Mathematics two terms. He always wants to work in the field of Education, so he started professional career as a teacher of physics at ASPU Basic (High school) college then Ayb School,Dilijan Central School. Along with his main work, he also worked as an expert in the field of education and has participated in the series of WorldBank and TEMPUS (ARARAT, GOVERN, VERITAS, TNE_QA,ARMAZEG) projects.  He has several hobbies such as biking, hiking,fishing, photography and woodworking. Hrayr wanted to participate inFulbright TEA to develop new knowledge and skills on teaching, especially interactive method to organize class and make learning process interesting for students, as well as new methods on project based learning.


Glory Goka Ollordaa

Country: Nigeria

Professional Bio: Glory ollordaa has been teaching chemistry and agricultural science at a public secondary school for both boys and girls for the past 9 years.  Her students range in age from 15 to 18 years old. On average, there are 60 students in her class. Glory is an active member of the school's sport committee, where she has promoted team spirit among the students through active sporting competitions amongst students of her own school and other students from schools in the neighboring communities.  She's also currently the head of department (sciences),where she scores and checks the science teachers' weekly lesson plans and notes, makes necessary corrections and comments where needed, soas to ensure the teachers' are all complying and teaching according to the scheme of work and activities for the given term. Glory received a bachelor technology degree in industrial chemistry from Abubakar Tafawa BalewaUniversity, Bauchi in 2005 and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education Certificate from the National Teacher's Institute, kaduna in 2014. Glory's Hobbies include reading, traveling, cooking, baking and learning new things. Her primary objective for participating in the Fulbright TEA program is to learn more about education in other climes, explore other teaching methodologies and acquire more knowledge on the right use of instructional materials for the overall  efficient, effective and rewarding classroom experience for both the teacher and students.


Jonathan Sikubwabo

Country: Rwanda

Professional Bio: Jonathan Sikubwabo has been teaching Chemistry at public secondary school for boys and Girls for the past 8 years. His students range in age from 18 to 22 years old .On average ,there are 22 students in his class.Jonathan is an active teacher trainer where he played a big role in promoting effectively continuous professional development for teachers through trainings that enhance quality of education. Jonathan received  a bachelor's degree in chemistry with education from the former Kigali institute of education in 2012  and a certificate in coaching and mentoring from the same University. Jonathan's hobbies include watching movies and football. His primary objective for participating in the Fulbright TEA program is to explore new methodologies for teaching and learning that engage learners in a lesson and to share with others participants the best practices of teaching and learning.


Dara Sourng

Country: Cambodia

Professional Bio: Sourng Dara who is a high school Biology teacher at Hun Sen Balang HighSchool. It is located in the south town of the province. It is given as a Resource School that has two science laboratory classes and two computer labs. It provides the most important education for all students in his community. Anyway, he will share knowledge and experiences with his coworkers. He obtained a master degree of Pharmacy at Dongguk University, South Korea. He also attended the 11 weeks program of the Brunei-U.S. English Language Enrichment Project in 2016. In his free time, he prefers listening to music, watching the news on TV, and doing exercise as well. He has 8 members in the family, including parents. He has two brothers and four sisters. His goal of the Fulbright TEA Program is to upgrade knowledge, build up capabilities of English and scientific methodology, and provide strategies of science teaching and experiences to students and teachers in the community.


Anozie Nwazue Ukaegbu

Country: Nigeria

Professional Bio: Ukaegbu Anozie has been teaching biology and chemistry over the past 12 years in a mixed rural public school. His students fall between the age bracket of 12 and 18 years. On average he has 35 students in his typical class. Apart from his routine duties , he is an active member of the science club where he has mentored students to excel in the STEM subjects. He  is equally a board member in his state's continuing teacher training center where he trains teachers on  innovative teaching methodologies. Anozie Has a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from the university of Calabar and post graduate diploma in Education from the Usman Dan Fodio University in alliance with the National Teachers Institute. Anozie's hobbies include football and politics. His primary motivation for participating in the FulbrightTEA program is to explore innovative teaching methodologies to engage his students in line with international best practices.


Neeta Verma

Country: India

Professional Bio: Neeta has been working as Trained Graduate Teacher for the past 21 years in Directorate of Education and presently working in the capacity of MentorTeacher. She motivated students to participate in State level Science Fairand has a good connection with her students and fellow colleagues. Shehas always upgraded herself professionally and academically through the participation in various seminars, workshops and projects of DOE and SCERT. She has facilitated as a resource person in many zonal workshops of SCERT of Trained Graduate Teachers and Primary Teachers. She has International exposure at NIE, Singapore which is another advantage to her credit. She contributed in developing content of text books like Value-based Education, Pragati Series and Happiness Curriculum. She received her Bachelor degree in Environmental Science and in Education in 1993 & 1994 respectively from Delhi University and Ph.D in Education (A study of SriAurobindo's Integral Education & it's effectiveness in terms of cognitive learning and non cognitive learning outcomes at Secondary school level) in2009 from Budelkhand University. Neeta 's hobbies include travelling, listening to music & exploring new things. She is blessed with two sons, elderone is 23 years old and pursuing Bachelor in Architecture and younger one is 18 years old and just completed his 12th and preparing for entrance exams of Fine Arts. Her objective in participating in the Fulbright TEA Program is to enhance my teaching skills, understand the different teaching-learning  methodologies and their application in order to reach a wide spectrum of students. I would love to learn from the other participant friends of different countries through this program.
