Rebecca

Rebecca Kumi holds a Master of Science in Applied Statistics and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and has been engaged in community development work since 2014. Rebecca currently serves as a program officer at ActionAid Ghana, an international non-governmental organization that works to achieve social justice, gender equality, and poverty eradication. As part of her work, Rebecca builds and sustains partnerships and networking relationships with key stakeholders to influence policies in the Greater Accra and Volta regions, as well as to lead and implement projects. She is passionate about gender issues and believes in equal opportunities for boys and girls. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Rebecca plans to continue working towards improving the lives of the poor and vulnerable, and contributing to the fight against gender inequality in Ghana and beyond.
