  • Scholarships range from $250 to $2000. Students will be considered for all of the scholarships for which they are eligible, however they can receive one scholarship per academic year (August-July).

Am I eligible to apply for OIED Scholarships?

  • Any degree-seeking student enrolled at least half-time at Appalachian and applying to a study abroad program offering academic credit is eligible. Students must not have received any scholarship from OIED in the current academic year (August through July).

  • International student scholarships are open to any degree-seeking student attending Appalachian on a F-1 visa.

What does the application consist of?

How will you continue this global learning when you return home? For example, becoming more active on campus, taking more GLO courses, continuing to engage with the host language, encouraging others to travel internationally, learn a language, or be more globally engaged.
