Intensive Language Courses
AppELS Institute’s dynamic curriculum is content-based, which means our courses are specifically preparing you for success in your future university studies. You can improve your English speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation while studying topics like Biology, Anthropology, Economics, Technology, and Business. Sample courses include: English for Literature, English for Humanities, English for STEAM, American Culture, and Current Events.
AppELS Institute offers four levels of instruction: Intermediate, High-Intermediate 1, High-Intermediate 2, and Advanced. Before arrival, students will take our online placement test to ensure registration into the right courses.
Each level includes four core courses in addition to a Research Lab, a Project Lab, and a Culture and Service course.

As reflected here, the cost of the AppELS program is discounted 5% for students who register and pay in advance for a full semester of courses, which is 2 terms.
University fees are mandatory and allow students to use all AppState facilities and services.
Health insurance is mandatory. This is an estimated cost of insurance based upon arrival/departure dates.
This is an estimated cost of housing and meals, which vary according to customs and preferences. All on-campus housing assignments are subject to availability.

3. When a pop up window asks if you’re ready to create an application, click “OK.”
4. Click “I do not have login credentials to this site.”
5. Complete the New User Form with your name, email, date of birth, and gender.
6. Login to your personal email account and find an email from App State International
Student and Scholar Services and Outreach Website.
Find a user ID and temporary password provided.
Click on the link for General non-App State login.
7. Use the user ID and temporary password provided to login to the application portal.
8. Follow instructions to complete the application.
