Jacob Cave (he/him/his) is the Program Budget Specialist on the Education Abroad team in the Office of International Education and Development. He manages the financial, billing, and accounting aspects related to education abroad programs. 

Jacob obtained a bachelor’s degree in Public Health from Appalachian State University in 2018. Prior to working in OIED, Jacob served as the Grants, Scholarships, and Client Services Manager at Forsyth Tech in Winston-Salem, NC. Prior to that, he served in several roles in the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships at Appalachian State University, and worked in the customer service and retail industry for several years.

Jacob’s favorite part of his job is that he is able to focus on accounting while simultaneously helping and watching students grow professionally and personally throughout their study abroad experiences. In his free time, Jacob enjoys walking, spending time with friends and family, and his fur-baby, Pugsley.
