International Student Scholarships

The Office of International Education and Development (OIED) at Appalachian State University offers scholarships for incoming undergraduate international students. Only incoming undergraduate students who have applied for Fall 2023 admissions at Appalachian on an F-1 visa are eligible to apply for these particular scholarships. International student scholarships range from $1,000 to $2,000 and are non-renewable.

Available International Student Scholarships

Funds for international student scholarships come from the following funds. Applicants do not need separate applications; all students who apply are considered for these scholarships. 

Adam P. Kephart Endowed Scholarship for International Programs

Established in 1994, the funds generated by the Adam P. Kephart Endowed Scholarship are directed to the highest and best use of "international" programs at Appalachian State University. 

T. Marvin Williamsen Study Abroad Scholarship

Established in 2009 by the Office of International Education and Development in honor of Dr. T. Marvin Williamsen's tenure as the first Associate Vice Chancellor for International Programs at Appalachian.
