This panel will explore the perspectives of international students here at ASU. Hosted by International Appalachian, the panelists will be asked questions about their lives studying abroad in today's global society. There will also be an opportunity for attendees to ask the panelists questions and direct the conversation.

Malinke Storytelling: An Intercultural Journey

At the base of any international travel is the opportunity to have an intercultural interaction. We talk about the importance of developing our intercultural competence skills. But what does this really mean? It could take a lifetime to thoroughly grasp the concept of intercultural competence! In this workshop, we will focus on one tiny piece of this: non-verbal communication. To achieve these goals, we’re going to dive into a classic West African story about love, deception, and animals!
