Exchange/Internal Program Fees
Appalachian has 4 types of exchange/internal agreements: Basic, Partial, Full, and ISEP Full. Students participating on Partial, Full, or ISEP Exchanges will be charged an Exchange Program Fee. The amount of the Exchange Program Fee will be determined by the type of agreement.
Basic: Students are responsible for tuition & fees at Appalachian. Students will not be charged an Exchange Program Fee as housing and meals will be part of the additional expenses that students should budget for abroad.
Partial: Students are responsible for tuition & fees at Appalachian. In addition, students will be charged the Partial Exchange Program Fee which is the cost of housing at Appalachian. Students will be provided with housing while abroad by the host university. Meal costs will be part of the additional expenses that students should budget for while abroad.
Full: Students are responsible for tuition & fees at Appalachian. In addition students will be charged the Full Exchange Program Fee which is the cost of housing and meals at Appalachian. Students will be provided with housing and meals while abroad by the host university.
ISEP Full: Students are responsible for tuition & fees at Appalachian. In addition, students will be charged the ISEP Full Exchange Program Fee which is the cost of housing and meals at Appalachian. Students will be provided with housing and meals while abroad by the host university.
2023-2024 Exchange Program Fees
Partial Exchange Program Fee = $3,700.00 per semester
Full Exchange Program Fee = $6,130.00 per semester
ISEP Full Exchange Program Fee = $6,350.00 per semester
*Housing and meal costs paid to Appalachian will be used to cover the costs of housing and meals for international exchange students coming to Appalachian. Students participating on Partial, Full, and ISEP Exchanges will have their housing and/or meals covered by the host institution. These prices are subject to change.
