Transfer to App State
Students who are currently in the US on an F-1 visa and wish to transfer their SEVIS record to App State from another institution must complete the following steps:
- Apply to App State
- Contact the International Office at their current institution to share the App State acceptance letter and follow that institution's Transfer Out procedure
- Identify the date the student's SEVIS record should be transferred to App State (usually after completing the current term at the current institution, or after completing OPT, or during the 60 day grace period)
- Complete the initial I-20 Request at issso.appstate.edu
Transfer to another institution from App State
Students who are currently at App State and wish to transfer their SEVIS record to another institution must complete the following steps:
- Receive an official acceptance letter from another institution
- Identify the date the SEVIS record should be transferred (usually after completing the current term or after completing OPT or during the 60 day grace period)
- Complete the Transfer Out application in the ISSSO portal
- Receive confirmation from ISSSO about the SEVIS record transfer
